MediaMonkey 3.1.2.1267 beta

I made the switch from Winamp to WMP12 and now to Media Monkey. I love the tagging feature. Much more precise and accurate than any other media player.

My only issue would be the lack of equalizer presets available. I would like to see more presets and maybe a feature for users who want a more fuller sound with bass. Other than that, a really good media player.

Light, quick, and very effective.

Honestly, this is a much more stable build than the last one, and when I installed it this time, there was no conflict with the video thumbnails, which is great. I love how this media player has more options for configuration with the audio and video. I'll give this a shot for a while instead of GOM Player.

Vista Codec Package 5.3.6

This is very good IMHO. I actually have the new Win7 codecs version of this, and it works very well. This now creates a thumbnail for Flash files which is very smart. It has everything that you need, including FFDShow. I did NOT get a virus when I downloaded this. Might have been a false detection. It works great and all my files play without any problems.

VLC (VideoLAN Client) 1.0.0 rc1

VLC is one pretty smart media player. However, I found that with VLC 1.0, when seeking through a WMV file, playback was slow. When downgrading to the 0.9.9 version, the file instantly played after each seek time with no pause afterwards. I will stick with the 0.9.9 version until the 1.0 version becomes more stable and this issue with WMV files is resolved. Other than that, this is a great media player. Will use this for great .WMV file playback.
