PixiShow is a DirectShow-compatible filter allowing you to display USF subtitles embedded in MKV files (tested with the latests MKVToolnix builds).
This rasterizer filter looks for external USF subtitle files with the same name as the video when no subtitles are available on your local disc.

The last release of the PixiShow filter was 2005-08-27.

This final release was improved with added support for the \bord\shad SSA and ASS tags, while several fixes have been made as well:

fixed wrong \1a\2a\3a\4a tag parsing, fixed wrong tag conversion when \b0\i0\s0\u0 have no \b1\i1\s1\u1 before and fixed behavior when Default style is called as *Default from the dialogue line.

The main advantage of this application is allowing you to use USF subtitles (Universal Subtitle Format).

The aim of the USF project is offering users a reliable and well-documented subtitle format based on the XML format.

USF has various advantages in common with the XML format: readability, flexibility, Unicode (UTF-8), portability, hierarchy system and easier management.
