Saving & Sharing Playlists

Only URL-based items (streams, online media) are saved to playlists. Local files from your device are skipped during export since they can't be restored later. Use stream URLs or online media links to build portable playlists that work anywhere.

About This Online Media Player

This free online media player lets you play video and audio files directly in your browser - no software to install, no plugins required. Drag and drop your files, paste a URL, or load a streaming playlist to start playback instantly. Everything runs locally in your browser, so your files never leave your device.

Supported video formats include MP4 (H.264), WebM (VP8/VP9), AV1, HEVC (H.265, where the browser allows), and OGG. For audio, the player handles MP3, WAV, FLAC, AAC, OGG and Opus. You can also load M3U, M3U8 and PLS playlists to tune in to internet radio stations from anywhere in the world, or open HLS streams for live TV and IPTV channels.

When playing audio, 11 visualization modes are available - starting with the aurora effect as default. Cycle through classic bars and waves, particle systems, starfield warp, geometric tunnels, spirograph patterns, matrix rain, nebula clouds, and pulsing rings. Click the icon on the visualizer to switch modes. Use fullscreen for an immersive ambient display, perfect as a screensaver while music plays.

Advanced features include a drag-to-reorder playlist, favourites, sleep timer with end-of-track option, Last.fm and ListenBrainz scrobbling, subtitle support (VTT, SRT, SUB, ASS, SSA), Picture-in-Picture, variable playback speed, and a mini player for keeping music going while you browse.

HEVC playback depends on your browser and operating system. Safari on macOS/iOS plays HEVC natively, and recent Chrome and Edge builds support it on systems with hardware decoders. If a video does not play, try our dedicated HEVC Player or convert it to MP4/H.264 with XMedia Recode or FFmpeg Batch AV Converter.
