Microsoft just made the official Windows 11 version 25H2 RTM ISO files available for download, and you don't have to wait for the official announcement anymore.
If you're tired of waiting for Windows Update to offer you the upgrade, you can grab the ISO right now.
The new version 25H2 uses build number 26200.6584, which is the same "golden" build that Microsoft will ship to computer manufacturers.
RTM stands for "Released to Manufacturing" so this is basically the final, polished version ready for prime time.

What You Get with Windows 11 25H2
Here's the thing about version 25H2 - it doesn't actually have any new features compared to the current 24H2 version.
Microsoft confirmed this themselves.
Both versions share the same features and updates, so you won't see any flashy new stuff after upgrading.
But here's why you should still upgrade: it resets your support timeline.
Version 25H2 gets 24 months of security updates and bug fixes from its release date, while 24H2 is already a year into its lifecycle.
That means longer support for your system.
Should You Download Now?
If you want to do a clean install or upgrade multiple computers, downloading the ISO makes sense.
It's also handy if you want to avoid waiting for the Windows Update rollout, which can take weeks or months to reach everyone.
The upgrade process should be smooth since there aren't major changes between 24H2 and 25H2. Your apps and drivers should work exactly the same way they do now.
You have three ways to get Windows 11 25H2:
- Full ISO download - Best for clean installs or creating installation media.
- eKB upgrade - Perfect if you're already on 24H2 and want a quick upgrade.
- Wait for Windows Update - Eventually it'll roll out automatically (but could take months).
