Foobar2000, a highly customizable and slim audio player for Windows, has just rolled out its latest version, 2.1.6, bringing a number of fixes and improvements.
Here’s a List of the Key Highlights:
MP4 tag handling has been improved, ensuring only ReplayGain fields are treated as technical information.
The ReplayGain scanner no longer attempts to scan Audio CDs across multiple threads.
WebM audio files renamed to .opus now open much faster.
Issues with FLAC files having exotic bit depths and failing audio MD5 checks have been fixed.
Performance has been enhanced by fixing 24-bit rounding issues.
The Converter log now avoids nonsensical messages when copying non-audio files.
The installer now drops DLLs only for the running CPU architecture.
Erratic behavior in the playlist view caused by long tag fields has been mitigated.
