I have alot of codecs in my system and i do alot of video editing..I have both XviD and DivX..
XviD 1.1.2 and DivX 6.5.1 Pro
I think that DivX (DivX Converter) is good maybe for starters because its easy just to drag video file you want in it..XviD is real jewel of all video codecs..Its free,stable,user friendly,and most of all it gives very good results..

Ignore sKiTz, the statement is as untrue as they can be.
1. DivX is not better than XviD.
2. Players capable of playing DivX is also capable of playing XviD.
3. Going commercial is no guarantee for better software, most likely it will result is inferior software since making money becomes part of the equation as well.

They should call this site XVidiots because DivX is way better, and there are MORE PLAYERS that play DivX than Xvid. It's foolish to use Xvid now that DivX is going commercial.

To Farook: Idiot ! That`s all i have to say to you ! Koepi's Xvid is great and fast. Delivers a great Quality and is the only one i use to compress my Videos i filmed along with the Lame MP3 compressor. Just downloaded Nic's version to try it out and to see for myself if there is a difference. I thank Koepi for his work and hope he keeps it up. Even works great for HDTV Material i filmed and delivers the Quality i was looking for. Support XVid !!! :-)

Nice codec, i've used it for some time along with Nic's codec and they are both good (it looks like they are either friends or watching from each other):)
I like Koepi's XviD Codec a bit more because its more friendly to my system and i encode movies with it without any problems (this was the only bug i had with Nic's codec and later on i found out that it was my system problem not the codec !!!). And about Farook msg. i think Farook is an idiot kid that likes to be an ashole!
Sugestion: If Koepi can make a better support for an old mpeg-4 content like Divx 3, 3.1, 4 will be a great peace piece of work ! :)

Es muy bueno, codifique un archivo DVD de 3 minutos (177 MB) a solo 24 Mb con la misma calidad. y lo mejor de todo es GRATIS.

disregard farooks msg, this is the best codec out, this is a FREE codec noone is making you download it!
