MediaMonkey is a powerful multimedia manager which helps you organize your music and perform other operations, as well, such ripping, synchronizing or converting.
It offers support for the most popular music and video files and for audio CDs.
The input formats supported by MediaMonkey are MP3, WMA, Ogg Vorbis, AAC, M4A, MPC, APE, FLAC, WAV, VQF, AVI, WMV, MKV, MP4 etc.
Among the most important features of MediaMonkey, we mention: organizing media and easily finding files; editing tag information; play back while displaying interesting visualization effects; synchronizing files with portable devices; recording CDs and obtaining output in the OGG, MP3 and WMA formats; sharing media with other audio-video devices over DLNA and UPnP; converting audio and video formats; easily creating music mixes and playlists.
Two interesting features of MediaMonkey are the Party and the Sleep mode.
The Party mode disables modifications to your files and to the software configuration; on the other hand, the Sleep mode enables you to configure the time to play the songs and shut down time or applying other options automatically, following a pre-established schedule.
Burning properties include creating CD, DVD and BD and editing rewritable discs.
Other features which can be altered are tag information, extensions, plugins and downloads. There are plenty of advanced configuration options for power users.
To put in just a few words, MediaMonkey helps you organize your media so you can easily find the files you are looking for, while also allowing you to do some editing.
MediaMonkey is a complete solution for those who want to organize large media collections, including both music and videos. It helps you catalogue your media contents, edit information tags, play, convert, rip and burn. Advanced users who are passionate media collectors will find it very helpful.

MediaMonkey 3.1.2.1267 beta
I made the switch from Winamp to WMP12 and now to Media Monkey. I love the tagging feature. Much more precise and accurate than any other media player.
My only issue would be the lack of equalizer presets available. I would like to see more presets and maybe a feature for users who want a more fuller sound with bass. Other than that, a really good media player.
Light, quick, and very effective.

MediaMonkey 3.1.0.1240 beta
A fine program-- though not a new April 26 update, as listed here, but the older April 24 update.
