GOSH! It WORKED!!

Follow the instructions written here and it'd work.

Takes some reading, and UNDERSTANDING the article.

Thank you so much, it works perfectly on Windows 10 even though it said "Not supported on this device" in the Microsoft Store.

Works like a charm on Windows 10 even with officially unsupported hardware!!! Thanks!!!

Awesome! I installed this successfully!

Thanks, I was wasting stupid time trying to get this codec to work on latest Win 11 on one computer in particular - PERFECT..

Thank you. Easy button.

For those who the link doesn't work, try to copy the link from the proper Microsoft Store website.
I did that and worked pasting the link in the Adguard page.

I downloaded and installed the package successfully! It works.

The link doesn't work for me, too.

Author's Note: it has been checked and works fine. Try again, following the steps from guide.

As it is mentioned in the guide, your browser may block the download. Check your browser's "Download history" and chose to "Keep" the file - don't worry, it is clean and safe, you are downloading it directly from Microsoft's server.

The link doesn't work for me.

Thank so much, it's really helpful. God bless u all.

Thank You - been scratching around for a week looking for solution to import to Davinci 18, Samsung S23 ULTRA files (H265), so many long-winded over-clever forms and comments, found this clicked on the links above, got my free hevc thing, didn't have to pay The Bill, went back to Davinci and it works no reboot required, it's made a lot of ppl I am helping to output a large thai buddhist ceremony sce footage + edits SUPER happy.

NB Firefox, Alwil Avast W10/64 just accept flags there are no virii in it. Note this is a jump from the original link....

The explanation is very clear. It works perfectly!
