About the Fake Lock Screen Generator

This is a free, browser-based fake lock screen prank tool that displays a convincing Windows, macOS, ChromeOS or Linux login screen with custom username, avatar emoji and wallpaper. The clock updates in real time, and when someone types into the password field, the prank shakes the input and shows an "Incorrect password" message - exactly like the real thing.

Six operating system styles are included: Windows 11, Windows 10, macOS Ventura, macOS Big Sur, ChromeOS, and Linux GDM (Ubuntu/GNOME). Each uses authentic typography, button shapes, blur effects and color palettes to match what real users expect.

Press Esc at any time to exit. Nothing is actually locked, nothing is installed, and any text typed into the fake password field is discarded - never saved or transmitted.

How to Use

1. Pick an OS style - Match the lock screen to the operating system actually running on the computer for maximum realism.

2. Choose a wallpaper - 12 preset gradients matching common stock wallpapers, plus solid colors.

3. Set the username and avatar - Use the target's real name and pick an emoji that matches their actual profile picture.

4. Toggle prank options - Enable the fake password rejection (recommended), the live clock, the "Just Kidding" reveal, and hold-ESC-to-exit safety.

5. Schedule the start delay - Set 10-30 seconds so you can step away before the lock kicks in.

6. Go fullscreen and start - Click Enter Fullscreen, then Lock Screen. Press Esc when the joke is over.
