This is a free, browser-based fake download progress simulator that displays a convincing browser download UI - complete with file name, size, speed, percentage, and ETA - without actually downloading anything. Six UI styles are included, modelled on Chrome, Firefox, Edge, Safari, the Windows file copy dialog and an Android phone download notification.

You can simulate any file size from a few KB up to 999 TB and pick how long the download should take to reach 100%. Three speed patterns are available: realistic (with natural variation), smooth (perfectly linear progress), and jumpy (large fluctuating chunks). Quick presets cover common file types like 4K movies, PC games, ISO images, ZIP archives, and PDF documents.

Toggle Stuck mode to lock progress at a specific percentage - perfect for "almost done" pranks or screenshots. Enable Multiple Downloads to spawn 3-5 simultaneous fakes. Press Esc (or tap Exit on a phone) at any time to exit - nothing is actually downloading.

1. Pick a style - Match it to whatever the target uses. Chrome and Firefox are most recognizable on a computer; on a phone the Android style is picked for you.

2. Choose a preset or fill in your own file - Quick presets cover the most common scenarios. Custom: any name, any size up to 999 TB.

3. Set the duration - 30 seconds is good for screenshots; longer values (5-30 minutes) are best for live pranks.

4. Pick a speed pattern - Realistic varies naturally and is most believable. Jumpy is dramatic. Smooth is uncannily perfect.

5. Toggle prank options - Keep Fullscreen on Start switched on, then enable Stuck mode for "almost done" pranks. Multiple Downloads for chaos. Hold-ESC-to-Exit for safety.

6. Schedule the start delay - Set 10-30 seconds so you can step away before the download appears.

7. Click Start - Click Start Download and the fake download fills the screen. Press Esc when the joke is over, or tap the screen and then Exit on a phone.

Does this actually download anything?

No. The tool only displays a fake progress bar and file information inside your browser. No data is downloaded, no file is created, and no servers are contacted. It is purely visual.

What file types and sizes can I simulate?

Any file name, extension and size from a few KB up to several TB. Common presets include MP4 movies, ISO disc images, ZIP archives, PDF documents, and game installers.

Can I make it stuck at a specific percentage?

Yes. Toggle Stuck mode and set a percentage like 73% or 99% - the progress will reach that point and stop, perfect for "almost done" prank screenshots and videos.

What browser styles are available?

Six styles: Chrome, Firefox, Edge, Safari, a Windows file copy dialog, and an Android-style phone notification shade. Each is a lookalike built from typography, colors and button shapes in the spirit of the real interface - close enough for a prank, not an exact copy of any brand. On phones the Android style is selected by default.

Is the speed and ETA realistic?

Yes. The download speed updates in real time based on the file size and total duration. Three speed patterns are available: realistic (with natural variation), smooth (perfectly linear), and jumpy (varying chunks).

Can I run multiple downloads at once?

Yes. The Multiple Downloads option spawns 3-5 fake downloads simultaneously - useful for fake "downloading the entire internet" pranks or screenshots showing a busy download manager.

How do I exit the fake download?

Press the Esc key once. On a phone or tablet, tap the screen to show the Exit button in a corner of the screen and tap it. If "Hold ESC to Exit" is enabled, hold ESC (or hold the Exit button) for one second. The exit is always available - the computer is never actually busy.

Can I share my prank settings?

Yes. Click the Share Link button to copy a URL containing all your current settings. Anyone who opens the link sees the same configuration ready to start.
