About Digital Clock & Screensaver

This is a free, browser-based fullscreen digital clock with five authentic display styles - LED 7-segment, LCD, modern, pixel, and retro CRT - and a screensaver mode that drifts the clock around the screen to prevent OLED burn-in.

The default LED style uses real vector 7-segment digits with the classic chamfered-segment shape and the dim ghost glow on inactive segments, so the digits look exactly like a real LED alarm clock. The other styles use carefully chosen typefaces - Orbitron for the LCD look, ultra-thin Helvetica for the modern look, VT323 for the pixel/terminal aesthetic, and Major Mono Display with scanline overlay for the CRT vibe.

Pick any of 8 LED colors (or use the custom hex picker), set 3 brightness levels, choose 12 or 24-hour format, switch between 35+ timezones, and toggle seconds, date, AM/PM and colon pulsing independently. Add an optional custom message. Press F11 or click Enter Fullscreen to fill your screen.

How to Use

1. Pick a display style - LED 7-segment is the classic alarm-clock look. Try Pixel or CRT for a retro/gaming vibe, Modern for minimalist desks.

2. Choose a color - Red is the iconic LED alarm clock color. Amber and green are easy on the eyes at night. White and the custom picker work well for modern desks.

3. Set brightness - Dim is best for bedrooms. Normal works in any room. Bright is for daytime or far-away viewing.

4. Pick your timezone - Local uses your computer's timezone. Pick any IANA timezone for a world clock display.

5. Toggle display options - Show or hide seconds, date, AM/PM, the pulsing colon, and the timezone name. Add an optional custom message line.

6. Enable Screensaver Float - On OLED screens, this is essential for long sessions - it slowly drifts the clock so no pixel stays lit too long.

7. Click Enter Fullscreen - The clock fills your entire screen. Press Esc to exit.
