Flip Clock Online

A flip clock is a digital clock that displays the time on cards which physically flip down when each digit changes - mimicking the look and feel of mechanical flip clocks popular from the 1960s through the 1990s. This online version uses CSS animation to recreate that exact effect in your web browser.

Yes. The flip clock is completely free with no signup, no account, no usage limits, no watermark, and no ads on the clock itself. It runs entirely in your browser and nothing is sent to our servers.

Pick 24-hour or 12-hour (AM/PM) in the Time Format menu. The clock updates immediately, your choice is remembered in this browser and included in the share link, and the AM/PM marker appears automatically in 12-hour mode.

Yes. Switch to Countdown mode in the panel, enter your target time (hours, minutes, seconds), then press Start. The flip cards count down to zero and a short beep plays at 0:00:00. It keeps accurate time in a background tab and keeps running while you switch to the clock.

Yes. Switch to Stopwatch mode for timing with a hundredths-of-a-second readout under the cards. Start, pause, resume and reset controls are available, and the cards flip on each full second just like the clock.

Yes. Pick a timezone from the dropdown - 27 major cities across the Americas, Europe and Asia/Pacific, plus UTC. Useful as a desktop world clock when working with remote teams or planning calls across regions.

Yes. Click the Fullscreen button to show only the clock, scaled to fill the screen. The screen is kept awake while it is shown on supported browsers, so a spare tablet works as a desk or bedside clock. Press Esc or Space, or tap the clock and use the Exit button, to leave.

Yes. Set Night Mode to On for a dim red-on-black display, or to Auto to switch it on from 10 PM to 7 AM by the clock on your device, even when a world timezone is shown. It overrides your theme and custom colors only while it is active, so they come back exactly as they were, and it keeps the flip sound muted. Press N to cycle between Off, Auto and On.

Each card is split into a top and a bottom half. When a digit changes, the top half folds down on its X axis to reveal the new digit behind it, then the new bottom half swings down into place - the same two-step motion as a real mechanical flip clock. If your device asks for reduced motion, digits change instantly instead.

Yes. Choose from six built-in themes (Classic Black, Light, Sepia, Neon, Wood, Airport Board) or use the custom color pickers to set the card background, card text and stage background. Picking a theme again clears the custom colors.

Yes. The flip cards scale to fit any screen, and on a phone held upright in fullscreen the hours, minutes and seconds stack for bigger digits. Fullscreen works on Android and iPad browsers; on iPhone the clock fills the page but Safari keeps its address bar.
