ByteDance is pulling the plug on TikTok Music globally as of today, October 28, marking the final day for users to transfer playlists to other streaming services.
The service, launched to rival Spotify and Apple Music, struggled to gain traction.
ByteDance now plans to focus on successful content creation apps like CapCut and Hypic.
Subscribers can continue using TikTok Music until November 28, after which renewals will be canceled, and refund requests must also be submitted by that date, underscoring ByteDance’s pivot away from standalone streaming.
