AMD's latest Adrenalin Edition Preview Driver introduces AMD Fluid Motion Frames (AFMF) 2, boosting frame rates and reducing latency for smoother gaming.
This update supports multiple APIs, including OpenGL, Vulkan, and DirectX 11/12, and is compatible with AMD Radeon RX 6000 and 7000 series graphics.
Integrated into HYPR-RX, AFMF 2 offers fast-motion optimization and improved borderless fullscreen support, making it a key feature for performance-focused gamers.
To enable AFMF 2, users can toggle it via HYPR-RX or through the AFMF 2 setting for supported games.
The driver works best in borderless fullscreen mode with V-Sync disabled, offering smoother frame generation outside the game engine. Radeon Chill support is also integrated for low-latency FPS capping.
This driver gives a glimpse of future gaming improvements, offering a smoother and more immersive experience.
