I'm sorry, but the only thing this helps in is playing .mkv files with sound working. It SCREWS UP my Windows Movie Maker!!! I have SO many errors in WMM thanks to this. Why is this? I think it's the fact that, since I have BOTH DivX and Haali, Haali is used instead of Divx!! What do I do? If you like to make AMV's, ESPECIALLY with Windows Movie Maker, I think it's best you avoid this. Get DivX itself and use other codecs for .mkv's.

That filter works great !
I had some problem with NTSC DVD, but thanks to this, it works perfectly with help of any video software ! Why not WMP11 ? Its a very nice player from Microsoft, i know its Micro$oft, but here it works very fine with full DVD Menu !
I have this + FFDshow and it works great.
Thanks and kiss to the author :)

I had a playback issue, when Nero Recode/Vision hijacked my directshow splitter with its own Nero splitter, so I ffdshow was only playing audio and there was no video.
Had the good fortune of gettin' some good advice from DJ Egg over at Winamp forums who suggested this DShow splitter.
Works pretty well, the more codecs you have, messier it gets. Winamp, ffdshow, VLC and Media Player Classic are all you needyou pretty much every A/V playback need

It does what it says and have worked flawlessly for me with those mp4-files that seems to be more & more common for every day, also perfect for mkv... running this right now together with K-Lite & Moonlight mpeg2 codec, no conflicts.

I don't know if it's splitter or codec related problem, but i can't play ogg audio files which consist of consecutive parts: seek bar doesn't work at all and playback stops after 1st part :( Single part oggs and ogm movies with selectable streams play fine. I use ffdshow version Aug 10 2006, tried both libavcodec and tremor codecs; Haali splitter version 1.6.224.23.
