Combined Community Codec Pack (CCCP) 2015.05.04 rc

Has been my only choice on any windows (including xp, vista and win 7) for playing media. Had .mkv hd video support before it was a standard.
Have encountered minor config problems, but always solved from within the filters settings.
CCCP 11-11-2011 final is the best from all later codecs, because it still has ffdshow and you can use media player classic original from windows that is the lightest of all.

As far as I want to say that this is once one of the best codec pack, well, not anymore.
While it's certainly not that bloated compared to K-lite, the codec is rarely updated, which means some bug solved recently may still persist by using this.
K-lite has newer, bug-fixed codec, while this provides less bloated but older codec. Manual installation of codec is certainly the best but I doubt those reading these would be doing that. So think twice before you install this.
I can't seem to get it to work. I clicked "keep" but no option to "run" came up. Only "do you want to allow this program to make changes to this computer" and I said "yes" It's showing as a program in my start menu however when I try to play a mkv file on my media player it still isn't working! Anyone Please help!!!!

@MPCuser
Are you sure you picked the 8/07 beta, NOT the 9/09 official? You must pick the beta.

This is actually CCCP 2009 build. Unfortunately it doesn't work with windows 7 32 bit and 64 bit at all.
On the official site they haven't even released the 2010 build yet.
I cannot "Save Thumbnail" with MPC-HC though. Always "out of memory", however, with MPC standard, it works normally.
I think it is the best Media Pack.Excellent....5 Stars...But I wonder why "free-codecs.com" hide this excellent codec pack.Because we can not see it in main page...
haha, great pack. i use it for all of my anime/movies, etc. best part about it is chiyo-chan from azumanga daioh as the intro picture that is shown at the end of the anime, i love it, that series rocks, good choice, good program.. excellent
For general playback, this plays the majority of video files.
It was made with anime in mind so it handles videos with subtitles and dual audio really well.
My favourite thing about the CCCP is its minimalism. Its tiny and only installs a few codecs, keeping things running fast and needing little to no configuration.
My only real gripe is the lack of Real and Quicktime support, but that's easily fixed with a Real and Quicktime Alternative codec.
Overall, this is my favourite general purpose codecs, and i recommend it. installing CCCP and JetAudio media player works great....
... Or you could can the lot and install VLC. That plays practically everything, including Quicktime and Real without any extra codecs. But that's another review. :-D
Hope that helps

For the standard fair of anime, movies, TV shows, and music this codec pack plays most everything except for Real and Quicktime. It seems to install only what you need. I use this pack on both my old PIII and an a newer Athlon with no resource problems to speak of.
I haven\'t had the video problems that crop up from time to time with Ace and K-Lite.
I recommend the codec pack if you watch more standard video. If your tastes lean to the more exotic or you are an editor, I would look elsewhere.
