Nero 2018

I bought Nero 2017. It promised 4K. It did not work. O got a refund. I figured they fixed the problem. I bought Nero 2018. Same problem.

I would not burn a regular DVD. I tried in Blu-ray. It worked but the disc would not play in my Blu-rays player. WFT.

200MB download for what??? this crappy software that just stagnates my core i7 laptop to almost a standstill when burning ... and it wont burn a bluray data disc as advertised ... trashed 7 bluray discs ... I have a good mind to demand a new pack of bluray discs be mailed to me from nero just for attempting to use their crappy software ...

Nero used to be such a classy program so easy to use but since nero 7.9 it just sux ... I am going back to burnawarefree which is only 36mb in size and does EVERYTHING

Sorry, I have Nero MediaHome 4 and Nero Rom 8, than came out the two free versions and I got an invitation of Nero also to try it. So I thought give it a try and tried to install the Nero Kwik Media first (from the invitation). But all knows how Nero works, it first want a clean install without other Nero programs. I had plans to stop with MediaHome 4 so I had onlo un-install Nero 8 (what not well worked with windows7). So all was clean and I installed the Kwik media and all his updates, on the websites were also free tutorials (1 + 2) so I've tried all... but my reaction was not what that.... about a Little (small) 10!!

I don't what the Nero company had espected with this free version, because it's not like that.... only CD is possible and for the rest you must think/dream about it. I tried also the 'Burn Lite' but I could it know, that it was even so bad!.

But most badly about all the Nero programs must come after that and Nero haven't warn me bevor!!!
I deleted the two free programs and tried to install Nero 8, but it wasn't possible yet, because the cleaningtool had found something! I installed the general cleaningtool and the tool found nothing!!

Again I tried to install my regular Nero 8 (on my windows 7/x64 but with 32-bits is going sometimes better). I've search the register, Temp, you it.... all the places but nothing was going. I'v contacted the chat-support and they wrote me some steps in text, but the most steps I did. Because there is NO CLEANINGTOOL for NERO 10.

That's ofcourse a crazy thing, this company is very enthousiastic about their new version 10, but it has forgotten to make a cleaningtool for that version.... It sounds crazy but how many clients/members of Nero made the same as I did??
And how many new (business) clients buy Nero-products with the same problems after trying a freeware-product.

The support of Nero cannot help me and said also that Nero-8 is not made for Windows 7, only a spectal update of Nero-9 or later (on the website) is made for Windows 7.
There is not asking me or said to me how we can make a solution for this problem!!! or how could you work with Nero-8 because we cannot....
I hate the company of Nero now, ofcourse I have written them angry e-mails with warns about their product pfff.
I shall never buy a Nero-product again, for me Nero is over. That I'm disabled and normaly slow can work with Nero, by this reaction not pragmatic.

They have taken my only payed burn-programm because of an invitationto try a free product....
pffff and they haven't give me any solution to install my old Nero-product..... ALL their fault, sorry... than I only can say Nero is AWFUL.

Some remarks and comments forced me to write. I do not agree with some remarks above specially about customer care and service.

Well being satisfied is an individuals own scale. Teething problems will always come up as one goes on working, experimenting, and tries to put it on this small digital canvas.

Nero used to make a decent program now it's a bloated suite that does everything badly.

From Nero 7 the program has become a badly written multimedia suite. I just want a well written burning program.

Nero 9 absolutely does not work with Windows 7. Even after upgrading it does not work. Now they want you to pay for an upgrade to Nero 10. I have been a Nero user for years. But never again. Something must have happened to this company. Its product are a poor excuse for software.

I haven't tried the newest version yet -- and I probably never will.

I have been a full retail registered Nero user for many years, but in the last two years I have found that Nero totally fails to provide any customer service or tech support for their products.

All you will ever get by contacting either customer support or tech support is just the typical automated email saying they have received your request and will reply soon -- but don't hold your breath because that promised reply is never going to come.

I love some parts of the Nero suite - at least when they work - but the total refusal to provide any support makes it a bad investment.

After taking 38 hours for nero 7.11.10.0 to download i was highly pissed off when i went to install it and it asked me for a serial number and there wasn't one that came with it. I think that is very wrong of ya to let something download for that long only to not be able to install it. I think ya should at least explain it a little better on how to do it and where we can get the serial number for it at. Hope that someone can help me out with it. but from the looks of it i'm not the only one upset about it.

Received boxed version of Nero 9 for Christmas 2008. 2nd install was barely operational. Nero 9 is greedy with filename extensions and claimed associations for filetypes that actually belonged to several other applications or that should be un-associated. The video capture worked on the 3rd try. The program was slow to load and didn't load project files from other programs (my pet peeve). Installation took ~2 hours to complete, and uninstalling did not leave my system in the state it was before the install. Please stay away from this software - it is horrible and Nero never got back to me other than to say to re-install (like I have time for that). Gear: Gateway MX6436 upgraded with 7200RPM HD and 2GB RAM running XPH.

Look at this Awful list of people complaining. The fact is "The Best way to reslove all your problem. You must have your Dvd or Cd writer (what ever company writer you use!)You must install or copy+paste driver in Nero StartSmart folder.

Let me explain I got Sony Dvd writer +.- RW Double Layer Combo that come wit Nero 6.0. I update my nero 6 and it installed Next version up of Nero 6 and ask me to buy it. i re-install it with nero unstall software "you download it from NERO.Just run it and it will clean your system. You must have that tool. It free. Now i Installed Nero 8. So I copy "Sony.oem" From My Sony Dvd wrier Nero 6 software and paste "Sony.oem" File into Nero 8 StartSmart folder. Before it was not burning my dvd Now it start burning because the "Sony.oem" File was missing. No body told me how to do this but you must remember this every software has a driver to run it and without it. It won`t work.

You can`t install just Nero only and it will start burning your dvd.(mate) The last thing is you must use your burning software that come with your dvd writer because that will only work with your dvd writer otherwise if you know what you are doing then that fine. Good luck

Nero seems to be rated pretty high, but I purchased Nero 8, and customer service won't respond personally, only generated messages, maybe they want an expensive phone call? I can't seem to make a DVD video, with non copyrited files? Burns successfully, but Verbatim disc is only written about 1/3 of disc, and won't read in players? Any answers? THX!

Well I have this program and to me it is not all it is cracked up to be. Have to go though to much crap just to make a simple burn. They get something that should be simple and make it hard. They also have to much crap you really do not need as well.

Trying to prepare for a burn of an MP3. I tell it to go to a folder and load the items in that folder to my list of items to be burned. Instead of doing so, it advises that it can't pass a filter (and I have no known filter operating) or that the path is incorrect, although it is the only path by which those items can be reached. I know of no way around this frustration.

Had errors [when transcoding avis] in NeroVision Express 3.1.0.0 after updating Nero Rom to 6.6.0.12. Nero Rom ver.6.6.0.8 works fine with current version of NeroVision. If you use NeroVision, I recommend waiting for new version of NeroVision or waiting for Nero to address Rom errors in next version.
