With Nero InfoTool, you can print or export the information to a text file. 

Before obtaining the information you are interested in, you need to get familiar with the application’s interface.

Nero InfoTool comes with a basic and intuitive main window design; there are four tabs, and each of them displays information about Drive, Disc, Configuration or Software. 

For instance, if you select a drive from your computer, you will have access to information such as type, read and write speed, load mechanism, version, serial number, supported read and write features and modes.

In spite of its old-school interface, Nero InfoTool works on Windows 7, too.

Nero InfoTool is recommended if you are more interested in disc information rather than hardware components; this kind of focus was expectable from an application which is part of a burning suite. 

Regarding computer hardware, you will have access, though, to information about system and peripherals, drivers, software and the Windows Device Manager. If you have inserted a new disc or device, press “Refresh” to have its features displayed.

Nero InfoTool may not address efficiently all categories of users, as it seems to be too complicated for a beginner and too basic for a power user.
