DC-Bass Source Mod 1.5.2.1

2.5 from 2 Reviews

DC-Bass Source Mod is a continuation of the DCoder’s Bass Source Filter, which provides support for a variety of audio formats, such as MP2, MP3, OPUS, OGG, MP4A, AAC, MPC, ALS, APE, ALAC and many others.

The DC-Bass Source Filter has been discontinued since 2010, and its developer, CoRoNe, released this fork, which has been added some new features and fixes.

The list of supported audio formats is quite long: MP2, MP3, MPA, M1A, M2A, OGG, OGA, OPUS, AAC, M4A, M4B, MPC, WAV, AIF, AIFC, AIFF, CDA, ALAC, M4A, APE, MAC, OFR, FLAC, TAK, TTA, WV, IT, MO3, MOD, MTM, S3M, UMX, XM and MP3, OGG, AAC and OPUS for Shoutcast streams.

SHOUTcast/Icecast Streams can be saved from within the PropertyPage or by using the IDCBassSource Interface, while SHOUTcast/Icecast Tags can be read using the IAMMediaContant or IDCBassSource Interface.

This tool can be considered an optimized version of DCoder’s Bass Source Filter and it offers users the necessary means for handling audio streams. DC-Bass Source Mod can also be considered a bridge between different programming languages (Delphi, Visual Basic, and C/C++).

Audio processing is the main objective for this application, but at the same time there are some limitations, too. For instance, DC-Bass Source Mod cannot handle audio streaming from video containers such as AVI, MPG, VOB, TS and MKV.

The latest versions of this application have been improved with support for WAV, AIF, AIFC and AIFF and with better uninstalling options (registry settings are also removed).

DC-Bass Source Mod is an excellent choice for any multimedia enthusiast who wants to enjoy full support for a wide variety of audio formats.

Maurice, simply shut f**kin' off those XP rudiments. Stuff work glade and hidden on the actual system.

It simply does not work on my system.

I am using XP Home Edition SP3 with LAV Filters and MPC-HC. It is hardly surprising that I was not be able to play Shoutcast streams with MPC-HC but when I attempted to open a URL with DC BASS Source Mod loaded in Graph Studio it still did not work.

It should in theory connect directly to the input of an audio renderer, but I tried it with four audio renderers on my system and Graph Studio could not find suitable intermediate filters to connect them.

After much Googling the only post in a forum about this decoder that I could find was made by the developer, so I assume no one else can get it working. I wonder what magic the K-Lite pack uses to get it working?

Use the original DC BASS Source instead.
