CoreVorbis is serving as a DirectShow-Decoder for the Vorbis audio codec.

No matter what media player you are using (Windows Media Player, The Core Media Player, Media Player Classic etc.), as long as it is based on DirectShow and you have this application installed on your computer, you will be able to play files containing Vorbis-audio.
