Leiming's x264 GUI 2009-04-16
Leiming's x264 GUI is a front end for the x264 Video Codec, whose interface is similar to x264 VfW.
X264 is a free application for encoding video streams into the H.264/MPEG-4 AVC format.
Some of x264’s advantages are the complex visual optimizations, the high quality compression, and supporting multiple applications, such as web video, television broadcast and Blu-ray low-latency video applications.
Since X264 is a command line application, its features are hard to access by average users, so various GUIs have been created, including Leiming's x264 GUI.
With this frontend, you can process multiple files at the same time. The application supports AVS Script preset, allowing you to use non-AVS files as input, and conditional double passes; estimating the right Q means finishing in only one pass.
Leiming's x264 GUI can also work as an audio encoding GUI and it calculates bitrate automatically. Other features supported by Leiming's x264 GUI are audio encoding, automated muxing, automated double passes, log recording and shutdown after the job is completed.
In order to use Leiming's x264 GUI, you need to download the x264 Video Codec and extract the “x264” executable file in the “bin” folder. Afterwards, launch the “Imx264gui” executable from the same folder.
It is recommended to use the “No mux” mode, which is more stable. When using non-AVS files, you need to choose an AVS file in the “avsinc” folder to deal with the input files.
Leiming's x264 GUI has been discontinued and its last version was 2009-04-16.
