WavPack DirectShow Filter Decoder seems to continue from where the old and meantime closed project, CoreWavPack left off.
Like its ancestor, WavPack DirectShow Filter Decoder is a set of DirectShow filters - WavPackDSDecoder.ax & WavPackDSSplitter.ax - created to support the WavPack Audio Codec, i.e. to play WavPack encoded files (.wv .wvc).
WavPack DirectShow Filter Decoder is able to play the WavPack files (.wv .wvc) in any DirectShow based media player: Windows Media Player, Zoom Player, MPC, SPlayer, etc.

WavPack is a completely open audio compression format providing lossless, high-quality lossy, and a unique hybrid compression mode.
