Dirac Splitter is no longer updated by its developer - the last version here is from 2005. It may still run, but it gets no fixes for newer Windows versions or formats.

The input supported by the decoder is YUV/420 only; other types of input such as 411, 422 or 444, will be output without the decoded u/v planes. Dirac is a video compression format for progressive or interlaced resolutions from QCIF (180 x 144) to HDTV (1920 x 1080).
Released in 2008, Dirac can provide data rate savings and quality superior to MPEG2 and MPEG4. Both lossy and lossless compression modes are supported. This format can be used in various containers such as Ogg, Matroska and AVI.
