thumbs up for this really nice converter. it does what it's supposed to do, at least on my win7.
4 not 5 stars, because it turnes a 90sec video (original size 1.5mb) into 100mb... would be nice if you could adjust the quality and thereby the size =D

Converts audio only. Win XP SP2. Comes up with error during run and asks to report to Microsoft. FAIL.

Worked perfectly! I am so pleased that I finally came across software that did exactly what it says it does!

Problems!
After the operation, it says "DONE".
But right below it, is an error message in red, "Conversion Failed"
When I check the destination folder, there is an AVI file but when I play it, there is nothing in it!
Another odd thing is that whatever the original 3GP file I convert, the final file is of the exact same size 116,588 KB
OS : Windows XP professional version
And yes I have downloaded the update, but it has the same error.
Help!

Worked very well and converted my files to perfection.
To the previous coments:
1. If you want to close the program after converting - click on the 'finished' button in the darkened box.
2. If you want to use your file in premiere pro, you will need to import it into windows movie maker, re-create the movie and save the file back onto your comp. This should convert it to wmv file to use on prem pro. dont know about after effects.

Unlike the previous user, this didn't crash my system (Windows XP Media Center). And, it DID convert my .3gp files to .avi so that I can now view them with Windows Media Player - yay!
It did not, however, want to close after it did its work. I did not try to convert any other files, as I only had 2. It took Task Manager to close it.
I don't mean to sound like a shill for Micro$oft, but it is surprising to me that anyone is still trying to do anything with Windows 98. Come on, dude, that is dead technology, move on :-)

Cannot really rate ist as it installs fine but totally crashes during every conversion on my W98 box - although the author claims it should run. Virtualdub and other video software run fine on the box, so it looks like at least W98 should not be on the list of supporten systems.
