The Core Pocket Media Player is the world’s most popular dual licensed Media Player for the PocketPC, Palm, Smartphone, Symbian and Windows.
It is designed for easy use & as a non-restrictive development playback platform for 3rd parties to license.

- general equalizer (volume normalization optional)
- mpeg4 gmc and qpel asp features supported (except on mips/sh3)
- ffmpeg plugin: msvideo1/cinepak/tscc decoder included
- nsv container support (but no vp3/vp6 codec...)
- aiff uncompressed audio file support
- asap plugin (http://asap.sourceforge.net)
- installer file naming changed
- playlist shuffle mode fix
- playlist and streaming redirection handling fix
- ogg crash fix
- (m)jpg rare decoder artifact fix (from 0.71)
- DIV3 decoder artifact fix (from 0.70)
- suppress cover art decoding error messages
- id3 cover art parser fixes
- buffering fix for very high bitrate movies
- avi audio timing fix with incompatible files
- asf parser fix
- matroska seeking issue fix
- PalmOS: pixel aspect option in preferences dialog
- PalmOS: keylock window fix with LCD tweak modes
- PalmOS: T|T,T2 48khz samplerate crash fix
- WinCE: http listing of non-ascii filenames fix
- WinCE: title scrolling if doesn't fit on screen
- WinCE: WM5 (O2 Atom) memory mapping fix (with XScale driver)
- WinCE: WMP10 WMA Voice decoder support

But how does it handle playing real audio streams both standalone or real streams embedded in webpages through http etc.. ? ...

The program works great with my Palm T/X--absolutely flawless! Wonderful video and audio quality with no problems.
