Moonlight Odio Dekoda is a DirectShow filter which helps you decode MPEG-1/2/2.5 Layer I, II and III (or MP3) and LPCM audio streams.
Moreover, the application supports MPEG-2 extensions to lower sampling frequencies, including the unofficial MPEG-2.5 format and it decodes MPEG audio streams to 8/16/24 bits.
The filter is able to decode AC-3 streams mixdown from 5.1 to 2 channels (Dolby Surround and Stereo), and it supports a sampling rate of 32, 44.1 and 48 kHz.
Another format supported by Moonlight Odio Dekoda is MPEG-1 and MPEG-2, to Lower Sampling Frequencies. Support for Layer II and Layer III is completely reliable and implemented.
Moonlight Odio Dekoda can automatically detect the type of audio stream and change the format from AC-3 to MPEG Audio and the other way around, even during playback. The filter can switch between various MPEG encoding modes automatically.
