DVD Audio Ripper allows you to rip soundtracks from DVDs and convert them to various formats, such as AVI, MPEG, WMV, DivX, MP4, H.264, RM, MOV, M4V, XviD, 3GP, MP3, WMA, WAV, RA, M4A, AAC, AC3, OGG etc.

The output is compatible with multiple devices: iPod, iPhone, PSP, Apple TV and many others.

The main features of DVD Audio Ripper are: DVD to MP3, ripping DVD audio to MP3, converting DVD to WAV, converting DVD movie soundtracks to WAV, support for AC3 and LPCM audio tracks and for sample rate 44.1kHz, 48kHz and 48kHz to 44.1kHz downsampling.

The application rips by chapters, which means that it lists all chapters in a DVD and afterwards, extracts sound tracks by chapters. Another possibility is ripping by file size and by time.

Apart from DVDs, DVD Audio Ripper also supports IFO files. It provides support for ID3 tags, too, and it allows you to edit ID3v1 and ID3v2 before converting DVD.

Once you have performed ripping, you can edit the audio contents you have obtained by adding various sound effects. When the output has the M4A format, you can add a cover.

DVD Audio Ripper does what it promises: ripping audio from DVDs, and fast. It works with a variety of formats, it features a comprehensive list of ripping options and it allows you to edit the output.

It is an extremely convenient tool for those who want to extract audio from DVDs in a professional manner.

In my opinion, this DVD audio ripper app is not much use: a) it can't handle the commercial DVDs; b) the article says it can extract sound tracks by chapters, size, and time but the truth is that it never offers the corresponding functionality; c) when I have the ripper app to get the ID3 info but it told me.

The operation will overwrite the original DVD disc info. Do you want to continue?, NO d) it is not free and require you to spend money and obviously it's not worth it.

Bought it, installed it, tried it. When attempting to extract the AC3 audio track from a DVD it runs for one whole second and then simply hangs there.

Contacted support and got no response. Just ripped off for $29.95 of my hard earned money.

This program does what it says it does...it rippes the audio off a DVD-Video disc.

What doesn't it do?

Rip the audio off a DVD-Audio disc. In case you thought i'd rip the high-resolution MLP goodness, it doesn't..and it doesn't claim to, but the DVD Audio Ripper title is misleading.
