Full of ads, requires "registration" and giving an email (still waiting for more spam to arrive) and requires paid registration to remove watermark.

Uninstalled (not before 2 nagging screens offering $10 and then 70% discounts. Not interested at all.

Freemake has a built in feature to fail after a few downloads and their disguised fix tries to force you to buy the paid version.

I proved this by switching to another down loader to acquire the same video and it did not fail. Not once did i do this ...I did it four times.

What makes these people think persons like me can't figure this out ?

Free version is watermarked. This holds you hostage until a ransom price is paid.

I no longer use this. And many times I used to donate to this site. There are truly kinder downloaders available.

I dare them to print this. Thank you.

Do not buy this software.

Impossible to contact them directly through email, chat or telephone even you can put up with a bureaucratic runaround if you have an issue.

It is not free.It is very slow if you don't pay.

In addition,it cannot recognize my RTX 2060,saying my computer does not support CUDA,so I think it is outdated.

NEVER use it,just use HandBreak, which is really free and fast.

Every next version of the program is getting slower.

This company only wants to earn as much as selling the registration keys. Actually this program is very weak.

It's multi-core programs offering much faster conversion. This program is a big nuts.

I first wanted to give freemake cudos for starting out with a product that has so much potential, its incredibly fast, great on hd conversion, really nice features such as bitrate, aspect ratio, and a really simple interface to use.

WOW!!!!, NO I DONT WORK FOR FREEMAKE, and whats with the 2 rating, well I have an Nvida card and Freemake uses CUDA and DXVA, apparently when the cuda is being used from the graphics card if your watching a video the same time your using freemake it will conflict from time to time and give you the BLue Screen Of Death, BSOD, and power off your pc, I have had to reinstall my windows op sys several times due to this happening as I wanted to give them the benefit of the doubt and verified it happening several times, apparently with someone else in this forum as well, I kept getting a graphics card error in windows, or conflict instructing me to dele and reinstall my video driver, since i have removed freemake no more problems with graphics card and have never had a problem with Nvidias products and have been using them for years. My driver was up to date and ok by the way.

Freemake needs to figure out how to use cuda without conflicting with the graphics card while it is in use.

I hate to see a program with so much potential go to waste, and its free. :( ps I have intel i-7 quad core, 16 gbts ram ddr3, 3.4 ghz system almost fairly new, so its not the pc. Oh and the subtitles should be free but come in a giant size while asking for money on this product.

Progressively worse ...
Now, in addition to slow and put adware on your system, it puts a LOGO at the end of the rendered video.

4.0.4.3 is worse than the previous versions!

- Bad to edit .ts files. The program consumes a lot of processing (CPU usage) and, yet, is slow, VERY SLOW!

- There is no option to chose Stereo/JointStereo in mp3 audio.

What seems to being updated are the adwares inside the installer!

The application works well converting formats and allows trimming the overall length of the video.

I will caution you that it loads a huge amount of adware/malware and tweeks your browsers with add-on/tool bars etc. despite unchecking boxes during the install process.

It sucks lots of CPU usage and it slowed Firefox to a crawl. Microsoft Security, Avast, and SuperAntiSpy did not pick the junk up. I was only able to rid the computer of the stuff with Malwarebytes. I have removed the program from my computer.

The best fastest DVD ripper out there. This surpasses a lot of commercial DVD rippers in speed and quality.

Impossible to choose a specific audio stream from a multistream video (eg a VOB file).

Moreover it crashes a lot, leading to the till now forgotten nice old blue screen.

Just a bad software.

- Slow converter TS
- Presents syncronism and incorrect fps e problem when converting files in TS format with AAC audio.
- Presents artifacts (squared/blocks)the cutting point selected in video.
- There is no option to convert to Stereo/JointStereo with mp3 audio.
- There is no option to save you edited. If an error occurs and the program closes, you have to edit ALL again.

Regular converter. But be CAREFUL! It install lot of adwares, read and uncheck everything (including SpeedMyPC).

the app is great, so easy to use, fast, easy and easy, and more easy

the quality on the other hand is not the best compared to mediacoder using the same bitrates, but for mobile devices is awesome and super fast using cuda

This is probably the best converter I've ever used. Really simple and works great. However, as of version 2.2.0.1, my files are not converting at all. Apparently from what I understand this was an accidental release. With that said, if you use this, go back to the version prior to this one and everything will work smoothly.

It would be nice if Freemake's website didn't show as a comment on every file that is encoded. That should definitely be changed in a future update. Otherwise, this is good software and I'll stick with until something better comes along.

Good idea, but the net framework makes the software a no-go for me. I would really like to see the developers get rid of that requirement.

Freemake, however much I try to use, defies me. It is still way behind the other free Convertor X Media recode, now even better than Win Avi.

A nice video converter. Never thought that free software can be of such high quality! I'm amazed. Most I like the ability to convert vids to my iPod Nano. Many thanks to developers.
