Cutting MPEG-1 and MPEG-2 video streams does not necessarily cause the audio and video to desynchronize. By using Cuttermaran, you will cut streams without recalculation and you will minimize the asynchronous between audio and video.
The application displays information about media files, such as name, length, sample rate, bitrate, channel and so on.
Some of the options available in Cuttermaran are the support for command-line operations, muxing streams into a single file, creating chapters, duplicating cut items, recalculating the video source bitrate, previewing cut files and selecting the bitrate used for encoding.
The last version of Cuttermaran was released in 2009, and it required Microsoft .NET Framework
, which is only included in XP.
The file formats supported by Cuttermaran are MPEG-1 and MPEG-2 video and MPEG-1, MPEG-2 and AC3 audio.
