I am having the same exact problem. I was so angry to find out that dvd43 will not work on my NEW 64 bit computer. What do we do now?

It says 32-bit. Its free. We cant complain. Buy DVD-Cloner.

I have used DVD43 for years along with DVD Copy Pro. It was prefect. Once I purchased my computer with Vista 64 bit, nothing works. I have tried anydvd, dvdfab, dvdsmith with no luck. Dvd43 was so easy to use, why don't the authors upgrade so it is 64 bit compatible. Does anyone have any suggestions as to what program to use that is not only 64 bit compatible but also works with DVD Copy Pro?

I am running Windows 7 64bit on a new lap top. Although I get a message everytime I boot up with DVD43 saying it wont work on a 64 bit machine, IT HAS WORKED SO FAR. I am thinking of changing the registry so the message will go away!!!! Then I would only get it when I actually load DVD43

been looking for a dvd software that I could backup a lot of my movies. found 1click dvd software and then down loaded dvd43 the latest version. had them both for about 3 months now and haven't had any problems so far. i have the 4.6 version which is the latest version . I'm running windows XP professional. try running your windows update and choose custom update. also perform a disk defragment on your computer.

my two dvd drives work perfectly

asus e616p3 and
Lite-on dvd-rw SOHW-1693S

THE LATTER WORKS FINE WITH OR WITHOUT dvd43 4.4

however, the ASUS (set to region two default) works fine without DVD43 but when i activate DVD43 4.4 it reads the wrong region - (region 2 as region 1, tested with region 1+2 discs)

it then freezes my computer and i have to right-click and wait a few minutes for the exit menu to appear before it will allow the disc to be released.

can you help please?

I've just converted a dvd to mp4, so I can play it back on my ipod calssic, I used 1 CLICK DVD TO IPOD, and my OS is Vista 64 bit Home Premium, I was told it won't work, but I installed the latest version of DVD43 4.4, well I think it was, I sure this movie is DRM-COPYRIGHT protected, but will have to look futher into it, it was a purchased copy of Enter The Dragon, old Bruce Lee movie, I'm yet to try one from outside of my own dvd's, but will be trying it as soon as possible, the fact of the matter is, even the little smiley face on my task bar changed colour, so it was working, will post results of DVD COPY PRO when complete

DVD43 runs okay with win xp sp3 and Nero 7 Ultra using a Memorex DVD+-R 510Lv1 16x drive.

Tips:
1) With Nero 7 Ultra & DVD 43, I found the best way to clone or copy the encrypted DVD is to use the image writer to copy entire DVD to a hard drive folder.

2) To avoid Errors when writing to a DVD or CD, before opening Nero or inserting bland media, first right click the DVD43 tray icon and 'Exit'.

3) I've created both a complete DVD on a DL 8.5GB disk and a main movie (no menus) on a standard 2 hour disk.

A nit: when I installed DVD43, the installer puts a shortcut on my desktop even though I told it NOT to do that during install dialog.

Also a lot of times if you are having trouble with your blank discs dont pitch them. When i first started backing up movie collection. which i do so my original copy stays in good shape (scratchless) and my kids can do whatever to the back up ones without pissing me off. lol
Anyway I had gotten 200 from online and was so pissed when they did not work, kept getting an error saying disc not in drive. Thankfully Ii never pitched them. I just recently went and got a new computer and gave my old one to the kids. Just cause I was curious I put those discs in that I bought three years ago and WOW, they work. So now I got 200 discs to use that I thought would never work,
So it may just be your reader on your burner that dont like a particular blank disc. Save the disc for when you get a new burner, or go and get a new one right away.

I was using an older version a few years ago and it worked well for long time. then I did start getting messages some kind of errors, been so long i dont really remember what they actually said. Usually the only times I had problems was when it got to the stage where I would have to put a blank disc in. Then after a year or so my red face icon would not go away. later my computer crashed and had to Fdisc it, was pissed, however it crashing had nothing to do with dvd43, at least not to my knowledge. I have tried many programs to run with it, but for me the best combo is dvd shrink, nero, and dvd43 (any version)

I have as far as I know the latest version now and still use it with dvd shrink and nero.

I posted earlier that i was getting a strange noise and my red face would not go away. Disregard my concern, my son realized that the disc had a tiny incomplete crack.

All in all I love the program. even if sometime rare times I dont get one of my movies backup.

Like others have experienced, DVD43 has not worked with the "disc copy" feature of Roxio Easy Media Creator 9. Instead, I ripped my source DVD with DVD Decrypter. After ripping, I took the assembled files and was able to burn a blank DVD using the "MyDVD9" feature of the Roxio program.

I see that Herman Street sells a DVD copy program that is supposed to be pretty good, but Herman Street itself got a bad rating on Epinions.com.

For $59.00, you can by 1 Click DVD Copy, but it doesn't have the decryption built-in, you have to use DVD43 - which can be problematic.

I recently installed dvd43 and around the same time both of mycd/dvd drives stop reading media. In system driver review bothe devices are "operating properly" yet they will not read. I found one drive to be defective so I bought a new Sony DRU840. Now the 840 works fine as a master but when I connect the DRU510 as a slave the both lock up. I've tried all combinations of slave / master / cable select.

Is this a coincidance or can dvd43 by playing a part here?

Grasping at straws because both drives were working fine a few weeks ago.

Anybody?

Since the installation of DVD43 a few days ago, I've had many problems burning several DVDs. The burning program (Nero 6) often stopped with a strange error message (something like "illegal command"), and sometimes even the whole system (WinXP SP3) was frozen completely (without any message).

I finally determined DVD43 as the cause for all these problems. After stopping this program, everything worked fine again.

I have used this program for a few years with intervideo dvd copy express. it works good, but i have run into a few movies that it will not work with. if the movie in your dvd drive shows the drive letter way off to the right of the title, it will not be recognized in the drive and will not work. the following movies will not copy for example.

THE GREAT RAID (D:)
UNITED 93 (D:)

does anyone know a way around this??????

I have no problem with DVD43 3.9.0. I use 1Click DVD Copy 5.0.3.5. I have not gotten it to work with Roxio Easy CD and DVD Burning 9.0. I have been able to copy all DVD's. However, in most cases, I stop DVD43 before the record phase start. If I dont, sometimes it will not record properly.

I have downloaded DVD43 4.31 but have not yet installed it.

i use 1click copy 5 download trial version and install first if you are not useing it already. when you ready 2 burn a copy of a movie it will prompt u 2 download dvd43. do a google on dvd43 download it and install. i use 3.9.0 version. 1click copy comes with a free version of copy to dvd if u buy 1click install it. u need 2 put in your blank dvd in writer first then the dvd u wan't 2 copy in your dvd rom drive. click start all programs and then vso then drivers it will open patin couffin drivers if the 2 drives u are will tell u media is in the drives. then open 1click set your write speed and u will have no more coasters. i use a external sony writer and have not had any problems at all. if 1click prompts u that it can copy the whole disk just say no. i use sony dvd+r disks there cheap and works on most all dvd players made. p.s on the if 1 of your drives that u are useing in the vso patin coffin drivers section just highlight click update driver. if u are useing a light on drive 4 writing u will have trouble. do a google and u will see what i mean. thats why i bought an external sony writer. if u have any other cd or dvd writing software such as nero etc.... uninstall first before doing any of the above. i am running windows xp home. i can't stress enough if u are useing a light on writer it or reader u will have conflicts with microsoft windows !!!!!!!!! gl 2 all
