This codec pack messed up my itunes but i managed to remove the codec pack and get itunes working again.
This is how i did it
1. Open up dashboard
2. select load current at bottom of screen
3. Highlight all files in center box and press delete on the right.
4. uninstall the software

Just my experience ... I need to have sound of an AVI file ... So I install this package ... Now I can hear the sound of the AVI file, which I'm glad.
On the other hand, I don't have Realplayer anymore ... When I installed, I chose option 'Player' ... There were messages that DIVX and Mastra codecs were to be uninstalled ... But it wasn't clear to me that Realplayer would be disabled.
I like to have Realplayer back, and I'm glad that I have a Restore point I could restore Windows to.

About 1/3 of the reviewers here give it 1, while almost everyone else gives it a 5. Truth is, I have not experienced any trouble with this, and I install it on every computer I get my hands on. It's perfect if you want to play the best formats, like ogg. It also installs almost all video codecs, so I don't have to worry about my digital movies not functioning. Another good thing is that I can now compress audio in soundrec32... I strongly encourage you to install Real Alternative (and Quicktime alternative), as these do not try to take over your computer. The modern Realplayer is pure evil. And do use the Media Player Classic for movies and advanced audio formats, it works perfect, and uses no CPU at all. It has all required features. I propose that you download an old version of winamp, too.(www.oldversion .com)

My iTunes 6.0 works perfectly but after installing ACE I'm not able to use it anymore, everytime I open iTunes i get an error message. Once i uninstalled ACE, iTunes works again.

For all those s***ers using K-lite and not ACE i pity you.Ace is the best if know how to install it. I used k-lite just to see how it works and i coudn't see all of my moveis and it f***ed up my TV-Tuner. I installed ace about 20 times now (and many more times my windows :)) ) and i never had any problems with unintaling it.I only use WMP clasic and BSPlayer and i can see all of the movies and very good condition. So USE ACE !!!

Codec pack is great, it contains almost all known video and audio software codecs and they are working as well...most of them.The problem is only if you use it at computer that already has instaled some video hardware as Matrox, Cannopus or Pinnacle video cards.In that case some of codecs are not working, or all of them are not useful as it is the case with Matrox video cards.But, I think that this is not problem of this great sotware, the problem is probably with closed system of codecs components in video cards. Use it guys, it's good, you can render with this all video compressions!

I have been a user of this codec pack for a great many years, the only reason I am now removing it is due to issues with explorer crashing when using remote desktop. I have install this codec pack on to a couple of systems with the same problem. The problem I have is when in explorer while scrolling through any kind of media explorer crashes. I think this is due to windows explorer trying to collect information on all the files while previewing the media and giving you information on them such as type, dimension and duration of media. And when unistalling the ACE it uninstall's all codecs as well as the codecs that were origanlly installed with XP. I still think its a good codec pack that needs alot of work or some of the codecs are faulty on there own that are included in the pack. If anyone knows what can help me with my problems, please contact me or post.

Seems to cause blue screen on my xp pro with /3gb switch, something to do wit 3dll file. Works fine with ordinary windows. Developers should check into memory allocation conflicts with /3gb on systems that have 4gb memory.
