Wavosaur is an extremely lightweight, yet powerful application which allows you to edit audio files in a fast and efficient manner.

 

Apart from the WAV format, Wavosaur also offers support for MP3, AIF, OGG and many other popular audio formats.

Wavosaur is portable, which means you don’t have to install it to your computer. Just run its executable file and you are ready to go. The Windows registry will not be altered.

Two important features that will ease your work with Wavosaur are the batch processing capability and the drag and drop file opening method. These features integrate perfectly within the extremely simple and basic interface of the application.

The main operations you can perform are trimming, zooming, reversing, inverting, resampling, inserting and swapping channels, converting depth, fading in and out and so on.

The most important features of the Wavosaur audio editing tool are cutting, copying, pasting and trimming; the MIDI implementation; the 2D and 3D spectrum analysis, the sonogram, the loop points creation and markers, the real-time oscilloscope waveform, the complete statistics about the waveform, the recording soundcard input and the audio conversion.

If all these do not satisfy you, you should know that Wavosaur allows you to use VST effects, which means you have thousand of new possibilities of editing your audio files.

Working in Wavosaur will require from your computer a low to moderate amount of system resources.
Wavosaur is a good choice for you if you prefer portable tools over those which require installation and if you want to leave possibilities open with an editing tool which hosts VST effects.

Even if the interface is so simple and looks a bit obsolete, Wavosaur will work on 64 bit Windows systems due to its native support for more advanced computers.
