A good ripping and conversion application supports audio tags, too.

With QuickRip XP Professional, you can edit MP3 and OGG tags directly from the program’s interface.

The information about your CD is downloaded from the Internet by using Freedb.

QuickRip XP Professional has not been developed anymore since 2005, and its last version, 1.0 rc1, was added various new features and many fixes were made. The final version is compatible with Windows 9x, 2000, 2003 and XP, and it requires Windows Media Runtimes if you do not have Media Player installed.

The final release of QuickRip XP Professional was added an option for WAVE file playback after encoding, it displays track number, channels, sample rate, duration, position and track validity, it has an option for stopping tracks playback, it supports all Freedb HTTP and SMTP submits, it stores its settings in the registry and it can show or hide the ID3v2 panel. A Nero Frontend was added for Audio CD burning and it can record to various default ACM codecs (PCM, GSM 6.10, IMA ADPCM, MICROSOFT – ADPCM, etc.)

QuickRip XP Professional is a good option for anyone using an older computer and looking for a stable Audio CD ripper. The most popular formats that are used nowadays, too, are supported, and you don’t need to be an experienced user to extract music with QuickRip XP Professional.
