Burrrn is the perfect choice if you need a basic audio CD burner which provides support for the most common file formats.
The application works with WAV, MP3, OGG, MPC, AAC, MP4, APE, OFR, FLAC, WV, TTA, PLS, M3U, FPL and CUE sheets.
Additionally, EAC’s noncompliant image and CUE sheets are handled, too, and all types of tags of all supported formats are read by this utility.
Burrrn uses cdrdao.exe for burning.
It is extremely easy to use and it doesn’t differ too much from other similar programs.
The user-friendly interface invites you to import audio files, to name the disc and to select a speed. Before hitting the “Burn” button, you can apply other options as well, such as erasing a rewritable CD or normalizing tracks on an album with ReplayGain.
With Burrrn it is possible to change the name of the tune that will be displayed by the CD player and you will be able to edit each label. Power users are given the possibility to customize the decoders by adjusting the command lines for each file type. CUE sheets can be viewed and edited for songs ripped from a CD as well.
Burrrn has not been updated for a while, but even so, it still has to offer good functionality and diverse options. It works with the most common audio file formats, it is compact, it needs a low amount of system resources and its interface is easy to understand by anyone.
Burrrn is strongly recommended for anyone needing an unpretentious tool for burning audio CDs.
Changes in Burrrn 1.14 beta 2:
- the new beta of Burrrn fixes a small bug and adds Croatian translation (thanks to tgotic).
[important]- You need both versions (stable and beta) for updating with latest Burrrn build. Also, you have to overwrite the executable (Burrrn.exe) from stable version with executable from beta archive.[/important]
