I need to know if it is ok to use VLC Media Player with K-Lite Mega Codec pack installed on the same machine. I had them both installed on the same machine in the past, and I did not experience any conflict that i'm aware of.  I recently read that Windows Media Player Codec pack can interfer with K-Lite Mega Codec Pack so I started wondering whether VLC Player can also interfer with K-Lite Mega Codec Pack.  Are there any known conflicts with having K-Lite Mega Codec Pack, and VLC Player installed on the same machine? I primarily use Media Player Classic, but I like using VLC Player also.

To make long answer short: no, VLC has built-in codecs.

You can use both without any problems! VLC just uses its own codecs. K-Lite has no effect on it. Neither does VLC have any effect on how Media Player Classic works.
