Excess CO2 has resulted in a lowering of free oxygen from 38-48% 100 yrs ago or so to 14-18% today.
Global Warming is being caused by the SUN! The Suns magentic field has increased 230% in the last 100 yrs.
The latest sun spot/storm season is expected to be the worst our civilization has experienced.

Some science (Charles Hapgood, a geologist found the glaciers in the North Pole are top to bottom the same glacier, created at the same moment in time. He expected to find several distinct glaciers, one on top of the other. He wanted to get information about what was in the air in the past and what pollens and other flora or fauna bit might be trapped in the ice. He wrote a book about his finds [apologies, I do not remember the name of the book.] Others seems to show there is a catastrophic global disaster caused by the sun and possibly the possible increased gravitational field crated by our solar system being exposed in a direct, fairly unobstructed manner, celestially speaking to the black hole in the center of our galaxy on a regular basis every 26,000 yrs, give or take a few 100 yrs. The events happen so far apart, we do not remember it as they are civilization destroying events.

I've been following what scientists have been discussing about the current sun storm activity and it is quite interesting and a bit alarming.

One other thing I have discovered is the Egyptions, Mayans, Aztecs knew advanced mathematics. They knew the length of a year to 3 or 4 decimal places and kept track of the constellations and other recurring celestial events and where these objects were in the sky during the seasons and other, sometimes catastrophic events that coincided with the positions of celestial bodies. Hence the 2012 time line of the Long cycle Mayan Calender.

All Mayan calenders ended. They measured events beginnings and endings, seasons, moon cycles, Sun storm cycles, etc. Only recently I discovered the Mayans had written text, complete libraries! The fanatic Christian monks and Friars burned them as pagan, hence evil objects!! What we could have learned!

Only recently have we begun to understand the extent of the effect the sun's cycles have on our precious planet. The ancients were intimately aware of this connection. We have only in the last decade or two begun to realized this and those who study the sun are concerned. Late last year during a total eclipse of the sun I read the scientists studying the sun expressed concern the upcoming sun storm is going to perhaps be the worst sun storm we have ever experienced in the 455 years we have been studying the sun. This was based on the fact the suns atmosphere was the thinnest they had ever seen. Apparently the smaller the suns atmosphere, the greater the storm. Recently almost all the press releases and web reports on this topic have become less informative and fewer.

Interesting reply Lady ;)

After i read some books of Richard Dawkins i became a moderate skeptic. That's why, i think it's useful to see the arguments of both sides.

I also tend to agree that global warming is caused by Sun rather by us, the humans. I know there are many opinions pro and against this subject and i think it's better to move on and do something. The pollution may not be the cause of global warming, however it's better for our health and the health of this planet to drastically reduce it.

Anyone who believes that climate change is not happening and that any money not spent reducing CO2 emissions could end up in the Third World clearly lives on a planet where both the laws of science and society are very different from those on our own tiny orb.
Look at this in another way, if all those clever scientists are wrong and we are not frying the planet, what damage is done by reducing CO2 emissions? If you look at many of the proposed measures, they will reduce energy consumption, prolonging the life of existing energy resources and reducing other sorts of pollution. They could also reduce my outrageous electricity bills as I fall in line and insulate my draughty house.
Yes, there will be an economic cost. There was when we took lead out of petrol, another clean up challenged by some, and CFCs out of refrigerators. And yet the world shrugged off those higher costs.
Some economists have argued that replacing a load of old and inefficient stuff will act as a catalyst for growth, which is probably a more reliable way of rescuing Africa, the only place that seems incapable of growing itself out of poverty.
