FFSoX Player is a Winamp plug-in using the FFmpeg and the SoX libraries. Install it and you will be able to play the most common formats, including H.264 and VP8.
By using FFmpeg, almost all multimedia files can be played with Winamp, but users should know that only a minimal FFmpeg is included in the FFSoX Player 2 releases; if you need full FFmpeg support, you are advised to download a complete FFmpeg build from another source.

FFSoX Player uses the Nullsoft Scriptable Install System interface and it can be redistributed and modified under the terms of the GNU General Public License.

The changes that have been made to FFSoX Player since its first release are diverse:

- For another time re-wrote the core Makefile in order to avoid recursion.
- Included unistalling SoX, Opus, or FFmpeg, respectively, when a new version is downloaded.

In order to install this plugin, close Winamp and run the in_ffsox-.exe file. To configure it, go to Options, select Preferences (or Ctrl+P) and click on Input. Select FFSox Player (in_ffsox.dll). See also screenshots page.

By installing this plugin to your computer, you will get the most out of you version of Winamp and be able to play the most popular multimedia formats. FFSoX Player is being constantly updated and it ensures full compatibility with the latest formats.
