FFmpegGUI 2.2.15

3.5 from 2 Reviews

FFmpeg GUI with FFmpeg is a powerful pack containing a fast and reliable audio encoder for AC3, MPA and MP2.

This package also includes the latest version of ffmpeg!

The application can open WAV, AVI and MP3 and convert these file formats directly to AC3 or MPA/MP2.

Other formats supported by FFmpeg are AVI, ASF, MKV, FLV, OGG and MPEG.

FFmpeg is a command line application used for converting video and audio files.

Recording and streaming are other features of this tool, and FFmpeg can even grab and encode input from a TV card, in real time.

FFmpeg was considered a tool for specialists, because of its lack of an accessible graphical user interface.

Since its release in 2000, FFmpeg has been used as a base for many GUI applications, which have made work in this well-known utility tool a lot easier. Some programs using FFmpeg are VLC, MPlayer, and HandBrake.

Nevertheless, if you want complete control over the conversion process and you are a fan of command line applications, FFmpeg lets you adjust its settings and create profiles like no other software. For instance, with FFmpeg you can convert from one sample rate to another and resize video using a polyphase filter on the fly.

For those looking to use FFmpeg in a more convenient way, FFmpeg GUI was created using FFmpeg as a backend. Less experienced users will definitely appreciate the GUI’s presets for iPod and rockbox and the video conversion options.

FFmpeg GUI with FFmpeg is the perfect choice if you want to enjoy all the features of this conversion tool or learn how to use its command line original version. The good thing is that you always have the GUI there if you need to perform a basic task or you can’t handle the original application.
