WavePad is an audio editing toolkit supporting multiple formats and offering you a variety of features to explore.
Learn how to use its most advanced options and you’ll get the knowledge of a professional sound engineer.

WavePad was designed for average users, but small production studios won’t find it unsatisfactory, either.

The installation process is fast and easy; you need to pay attention to third-party software that WavePad may offer to deploy to your computer, though.

Once the installation process is completed, you will be able to enjoy the intuitive and professional interface of WavePad.

The application supports a variety of formats, such as WAV, MP3, AIFF, WMA, MID, AU, MPG, WMV, APE, AVI etc.

The sample rates supported by WavePAd vary from 6 to 196kHz, stereo or mono, 8, 16, 24 or 32 bits.

The most basic functions WavePad provides you with are cutting, copying, deleting, pasting, inserting, autotrimming etc.

Effects which alter the sound are possible due to WavePad’s amplifier, compressor, normalizer, equalizer and multiple chain effects; you can also adjust speed, pitch or apply a telephone or AM radio effect.

If you are really passionate about sound processing or you work in the field, you can use the integrated VST plugin, which offers access to thousands of extra tools and effects.
Apart from adding various effects to your audios, you can also perform audio restoration, through noise reduction and click pop removal.

Other significant features of WavePad that you must not overlook are voice recording, frequency analysis and burning the output on CDs.

All things considered, WavePad offers a wide variety of options for its small size and it is a good option for both average and power users. It is only up to you choosing the working level you can master.
