UMPlayer’s aim is to satisfy all your needs and to offer you lots of advanced features. This application has a built-in codec so you can open any media format, including incomplete or damaged files.

The first thing you will notice at UMPlayer is the user-friendly interface which supports adding new themes.

The functions of the application are easy to access and you can enjoy features such as built-in subtitles search, audio and subtitle synchronization, YouTube player and recorder, and enhanced filter rendering.

In spite of its compact design, UMPlayer has more than 270 built-in audio and video codecs, so it can open almost any media format, such as AAC, AC3, ASF, AVI, DIVX, FLV, H.263, MKV, MOV, MP3, MPEG, OGG, QT, Real Media, VOB, WAV, WMA, WMV, XviD and many others. These containers can be managed no matter what their source is, you local disc or the Internet. Additionally, you can play radio using SHOUTcast.

Besides the top menu of the application, you can find additional information by right clicking inside the main window; this action will allow you to access more options when playing a multimedia file, such as video quality, preferences, audio track, application skin, and so on.

The latest versions of UMPlayer have been improved by fixing bugs and improving picture quality and playback speed.

UMPlayer is suitable for anyone looking to play a variety of multimedia formats, including Audio CDs, DVDs, (S)VCDs, YouTube, SHOUTcast streams and TV or radio cards.

UMPlayer can still be improved further and its future versions could improve this application’s functionality. So far, the intuitive interface and the variety of file formats it plays strongly recommend it to multimedia users.
